Manufactured with precision made wheel molds with consistent wall thickness and density for optimum wheel balance for ultimate performance. Designing competition-worthy wheels is a black art, and there’s no two people more practiced in the art than Mark Pavidis and Gil Losi, Jr. The knowledge of both is poured into the design of the AKA wheels for the ultimate balance of durability and flex for maximum performance. Both buggy and truck versions of the AKA wheels feature a larger diameter, which reduces sidewall flex to keep more tread on the racing surface for crisp acceleration and steering response. Superior Mold Technology: Revolutionary full-diaphragm gate molding keeps the wheel true and ensures a more uniform flow of material throughout the entire wheel. That means AKA wheels are more balanced, consistent in their performance, and stronger than other wheels made using conventional molding techniques. Micro-Finish Texture: All AKA wheels come with a high-quality surface texture on all the bead mounting areas. By adding this texture to bead area of the wheels, it creates more effective surface area and �tooth� on which the tire glue can bond. The wheels are also molded with a special additive that promotes a stronger glue bond. Mold Accuracy: AKA wheel molds are made right here in the U.S.A. using the latest in precision mold-making technology. This results in better quality control to deliver the best possible product to AKA customers. Strength: The strength of the wheels is very important; not just for the racer, but for all enthusiasts who value quality products. AKA uses a high-quality modified nylon thats specially blended and refined by the designers decades of racing experience. The materials have been rigorously tested to the toughest standards to deliver the best possible performance, durability and value. Notes from the team: AKA wheels come with two vent holes that come in dented in the wheels so the customer has the choice to open the holes or leave them closed. Most racers tend to let the tire breath by punching a hole in the tire instead of the wheel.
