Description   Super Soft Compound The “Super Soft” V compound is for cooler conditions when the track is transitioning from wet to a drier hard packed line that is not quite grooved in. Great for winter and early spring racing conditions. The Super Soft compound tires still retain the long lasting wear characteristics that AKA is known for while providing that extra measure of traction for the trickiest of surface conditions. The City Block tire is designed for hard to medium-packed surfaces. The two-stage tread features square mini-pins on top of rectangular blocks. The square mini pins are designed for superior grip on a hard-packed, high-traction racing surface. The rectangular blocks underneath the mini pins provide greater tread depth, which is also makes this versatile tire ideal for those times when you drift into the loose dirt. The City Block is a very unique and versatile type tire. This tire works in a large variety of conditions from loose to high traction. Because of this unique design, the City Block is the work horse tire of the AKA line and works well in the majority of track conditions. Innovations: Tread Performance: Each tire tread is computer designed and track tested by AKA engineers and team drivers to ensure the best performance before each tire goes into production. Balance: Like AKA inserts and wheels, tire balance is critical to superior performance and it's a priority in AKA tires. Mold components are manufactured to the highest tolerances to ensure the best possible alignment of all the mold components. This results in a tire with more uniform thickness for the best possible balance. Lifespan: The long life of the AKA tires is due to the collective decades of rubber compound development that AKA brings to the table. In fact, AKA engineers have been responsible for developing some of the most successful tires in off-road racing for a generation. Each compound is tested in labs then rigorously track tested to ensure the highest quality. Mold Accuracy: AKA tire molds are made in the U.S.A. using the most advance mold-making techniques and processes available. The cost is higher to produce such a precision mold, but its part of an uncompromising desire to deliver the highest quality product available. Compound: AKA offers 4 different long-lasting tire compounds, each of which is color-coded by a small mark on the sidewall of each tire. AKA offers soft (green), medium (blue), and hard (yellow) compounds that provide superior grip for across the entire spectrum of track conditions. Resealable bag: AKA was the first to introduce this simple and effective packaging to the r/c car market. Each bag can hold two sets of tires and more importantly can be used over and over. The bag also helps keep them organized and out of the elements which keep the rubber at its best possible condition. Notes from the team: The City Blocks on the front and rear will really lock the car in. Some team drivers will run the City Blocks in the front and the I Beams in the rear. This will free up the rear of the car and allow you to get thru the corners quicker.
